Artist’s Talk
The Bluecoat, Liverpool, Wednesday 17 July 2013

The ERC was honoured to welcome acclaimed Canadian artist IAIN BAXTER& to Liverpool for an illustrated talk on his extraordinary career, from his pivotal role in the 1960s and 1970s conceptual art scene in Vancouver to his more recent ecologically-minded works.

IAIN BAXTER& (born Middlesborough, 1936) studied zoology and fine art before founding the mythical N.E.Thing Co. in 1966, an artistic company active until 1978. He is Professor Emeritus at the University of Windsor and a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. He lives in Windsor, Ontario, with his wife and collaborator Louise Chance BAXTER&.

With thanks to IAIN BAXTER&, Bryan Biggs and Juan Cruz
